Principal Shelly Marr

Principal Shelly Marr studied journalism, literature and art at Harvard University. She moved to NYC and joined Grey Advertising to help create and implement award-winning ad campaigns. After moving to Stamford, CT., Marr earned a real estate license and undertook a 10-year career with William Raveis Real Estate.

A shift into Public Relations in 1994 proved opportune. She was hired and mentored in PR by the founder of New York City’s Prosek Partners Public Relations, an agency ranked 11th nationally. As an Account Executive, she handled media campaigns, events, press conferences and multi-dimensional collaborations. Weekends and evenings were spent on assignment as a field reporter for Time Inc. magazines, Money, Fortune and Time.

Shelly founded ShellMar PR in 2002.  Her first retainer clients were Stamford Town Center, and the Norwalk Parking Authority. Her client roster rapidly grew to include real estate investment partnerships, construction and architectural firms.

ShellMar’s current brand and business specialty has emerged to connect the dots between real estate development, arts, culture, media and destination marketing.

Shelly frequently serves in a volunteer capacity with several arts and non-profit organizations.
